Wayne County has partnered with the Expanded Foods and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) since 1969.

Mollie Denney and Joy McGinnis are Wayne County’s Extension EFNEP assistants. They work with over 100 families each year.

Mollie and Joy teach families through home visits and group meetings.  Assistants help families with meal planning, grocery shopping, food preparation, canning and freezing, and food safety.  Assistants also work with 24 or more children’s groups to learn about nutrition and health.
