    • Homemakers' Dates of Interest

    • The Simpson County Homemakers are selling their 75th anniversary cookbook "Recipes and Recollections" for $14.00 each.  You may purchase one from any homemaker member or at your local extension office at 300 North Main in Franklin.  What a great gift this would make!
    • An 8 week Matter of Balance program that begins September 29 and emphasizes practical strategies and skills to manage falls.  You may register at the Extension Office for this program.  Class is limited to first 15 participates.
    • The Area Annual Homemaker's meeting will be October 22 at the Camp for Courageous Kids in Scottsville.  Area meeting registration is due by October 6 and there will be no late registrations.  You are ask to bring a new white towel to donate to the camp. 
    • The Art of Cardmaking - This will be a hands on lesson.  Leaders will learn all the basics about card making by actually making 4 cards using 4 different methods.  The training school will be held in two area locations and will be taught on Sept. 30, 10:00 a.m. at the Warren County Extension Office and also on Thursday, October 1 at 5:30 p.m. at the Barren County Extension Office.
