County 4-H
PURPOSE: The mission of 4-H is to help young people become self-directing, productive and contributors to society. The program emphasizes "hands-on" learning as it centers around the youth's area of interest, home and family. The goal is accomplished with the help of parents, adult volunteer leaders and professional staff who organize educational experiences. Youth participate through organized 4-H clubs, special interest and project groups, 4-H school enrichment programs, 4-H Camp and other special activities. What do the H's in 4-H Stand for? HEAD HEART 4-H gives you a chance to become friends with other young people and caring adults. It is about building character, accepting people who are different, and making your community a better place to live. HANDS HEALTH
