Farmer's Market

The Pikeville Farmer's Market is continuing to be a success. The market opened early last year to give vendors a chance to market earlier crops such as peas, lettuce, herbs and onions.  With the early crops winding down it lead to the onset of the more seasonal crops that consumers were looking for such as green beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage and fruits such as peaches and apples.

The market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Pike County Cooperative Extension Services parking lot at the end of Trivette Drive in Pikeville.  Trivette Drive begins at the end of Main Street in downtown Pikeville and there are signs along the way so you should not have a problem finding the market.

If you enjoy fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables then the Farmer's Market is the place you need to visit.  The market will continue to have more produce available as the gardening season starts its upward climb.  Remember the market opens at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so come early.
