Two water falls in Perry County

Big Branch Falls Fork Branch Falls
I was contacted Tuesday morning, 12/6/11, by UK Extension Wildlife Biologist and author, Tom Barns, about assisting him in finding a water fall in Perry County that he had seen in a newspaper article relating to a Pride project dating back to the late 1990’s. Not knowing where this water fall was located I contacted Tony Lewis, Perry County Pride Coordinator, for assistance. Tony was very helpful. He directed us to the fall and actually met us at the location of the Fork Branch Fall to make sure we found it OK. He also took us to another fall, called Big Branch Fall. Tom is going around the state photographing waterfalls. He has photographed 120 to date and is hoping to photograph 150 to 200 total.
