Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference
Teen Conference is an outstanding opportunity for youth who have graduated from the eighth grade through age 19. The 4-H Teen Conference program is designed to develop leadership & citizenship skills, inspire teens to continue their involvement in 4-H and acquaint them with our land-grant university, the University of Kentucky. Planned & designed to satisfy a wide range of interests everyone will find something that will appeal to them. Delegates choose from among several interest areas for tracks, college visits, tours, workshops, and issues seminars. Teen Conference will be held at the University of Kentucky June 8-11. The cost of the conference is $150.00. The 4-H Council may provide financial assistance if needed. Financial assistance requests must be made by April 1. Registration must be completed by April 17th. 4-H Camp Teen Counselors Needed
Teen Counselors are vital at camp to complete the leadership team. Counselors in Training (CITs), will be age 14 and 15 while teens ages 16 and 17 will serve as teen leaders. Interviews for new CITs and teen leaders will be held on April 7th. You will be notified the following week if a position is available. Unfortunately, we will be unable to take all teen counselors who apply. Orientation sessions will be held the following dates:
· Wednesday, July 1st, 9:00 AM- 3:00PM at the Shelby Co. CES office, (All new Teens and CITs)
· Tuesday, July 7th , 6:30-8:30 pm. at the Shelby Co. CES office, (All camp leaders attend)
Teen counselor applications are available here and should be returned to Kelly Woods by March 20th.
