School 4-H Clubs
Character Counts! in Oldham County
CHARACTER COUNTS! is the most widely implemented approach to character education. The CHARACTER COUNTS! Coalition seeks to develop core ethical values. These values, referred to as “The Six Pillars of Character” are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Each month classrooms conduct 4-H club meetings and explore one of the six pillars through hands on interactive activities. The following schools currently have school clubs: Buckner, Centerfield, Crestwood, LaGrange, Locust Grove, and Pewee Valley Jr. Academy. The CHARACTER COUNTS! Program is funded through Metro United Way.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
