Agriculture & Natural Resources

Morgan County Has A New Ag Agent

The Morgan County Extension Office has a new agent for Ag & Natural Resources, her name is Sarah Fannin-Holliday.  Sarah assumed her new duties August 1st.   

Sarah worked as the 4-H agent here in Morgan County for 9 1/2 years before switching to her new position.  Sarah did a great job as the 4-H agent here in Morgan County and we are looking forward to working with her in her new position.  

So stop by and welcome Sarah in her new position.

 

Agricultural Development Council  News

Morgan County has six programs under way at this time they are: Agricultural Diversification, Forage Improve, Cattle Handling Equipment, Hay/Straw Storage Facilities, Boundry Fencing, On-Farm Water Enhancement.  The deadline to have program receipts turned in is December 16th.  So MARK YOUR Calendar!!

We would like to take this time to thank the members of the Ag Development Council who donate their time to serve on the council.

The Ag Development council meetings are set for the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month.

 

Cave Run Beekeepers Association

The beekeepers association meet the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. they rotate between Morgan and Menifee County. If you would like more information on the association or would like to join the Cave Run BeeKeepers Association contact the extension office at 743-3292 or email me sfannin@uky.edu.

Identification and control suggestions will be returned to the Extension office in approx. 1 week from the UK Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory

Weed Identification:
No cost per sample
Identification & control suggestions returned to the Extension Office in approx. 1 week from UK Weed Science Herbarium
