Homemaker Leader Trainings

 Jan. 19-1:30 p.m. - Couponing 101-is a program that expains how to use meal planning, store sales and coupons cooperatively to save money in grocery shopping.  In learning how to plan and save together, participants will gain knowledge to maximize savings in ther shopping and reduce stress surronding family meal planning and budget issues.

Feb. 16-1:30 p.m.-Fishy Facts - Fish is healthy because it is a great source of serval nutrients, including proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, and sleenium, as well as being naturally low in satrurated fat.  this leasson will explain easy ways to include fish in your diet, minimize toxins in the selection and preparation of fish, and share creative recipes for the whole family to enjoy.

March 30- 1:30 p.m. - Consumer Beware in Tough Economic Times - Consumer fraud is a continuing threat.  This lesson covers identity theft, email scams, home repair scams and credit card fraud.

April 27 - 1:30 p.m. - Don't Let Falls Get you Down - While the risk of falling and of being seriously injured in a fall increases with age, older adults are not falling because they are old.  In fact, falls are not an inevitable part of aging.  This lesson addresses risk factors, and how a person can lower his/her chance of falling, or prevening a fall from occuring.
