Family & Consumer Sciences The goal of the Family & Consumer Sciences Program is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families. We address the challenges of critical issues affecting people's daily lives in a changing environment. Programs focus on economic, social and physical well-being of our clients. We strengthen personal and family relationships, encourage healthy choices, and identify resources to extend income. FAMILY & CONSUMER SCIENCE PURPOSE The Montgomery County Homemakers Association is a federated county of KEHA with seven clubs as well as mailbox membership. The objectives are to further strengthen, develop, coordinate and extend adult education in family and consumer sciences in cooperation with the Cooperative Extension Service of the United States Department of Agriculture and Land Grant Universities. ABOUT Family & Consumer Science You can join the Montgomery County Homemakers by visiting the Extension Office on East Locust Street. You may join one of your clubs that are already established or begin a new club of you own. If you just want to receive our newsletters, you can become a mailbox member for only $4.00 each.
