4-H CAMP--JUNE 26--JUNE 29, 2012 4-H CAMP Registration Form 4-H Camp is one of the greatest memory making experiences your child could have. 4-H Camp is open to all youth ages 9-14 years old. Campers participate in a variety of activities during the week. They can fish, catch butterflies, bugs and crawdads. They could learn new skills such as : swimming, riflery, archery or cooking, to name a few. Campers learn camp songs and dances and sally down the alley. They may take a nature hike, go canoeing or participate in a challenge course and relay games. And most importantly, make new friends and have lots of fun. The camp experience assists youth in achieving the Youth Development mission to become a self directing, productive and contributing member of society. Youth develop inquiring minds and an eagerness to learn. They learn practical skills in addition to citizenship, leadership, communication and self expression. They strengthen their ability to make decisions, to solve problems, to manage their own lives and build interpersonal relationships with adults and other youth. Campers take home great memories of the fun times shared with new friends. This year we will camp with Washington, Taylor, Larue and Russell counties at Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp. Camp fees this year will be $160.00 which includes transportation, meals, snacks and insurance. This fee can be paid in installments up until camp time. We also will have some scholarships available. Campers will not need a lot of pocket money (we suggest no more than $20.00). We will stop on the way down to camp for a morning snack and on our way home. There is a country store on the camp grounds where campers can purchase ice cream, candy bars, postcards and souvenirs. There will be a small charge for crafts-$.50 to $2.00.
