WHAT IS EFNEP?

EFNEP, the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, is a federally funded program conducted in Kentucky through the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. EFNEP trains paraprofessionals to teach limited resource families how to improve the quality of their daily diets. Since its beginning in 1969, EFNEP has made a difference in the lives of those with the fewest resources available to feed, clothe, house and educate their families.
