A Timber Management, Harvesting and Sales Seminar will be held on January 29, 2007 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Lyon County Extension Office, located on the corners of Fairview and Main Streets in Eddyville.
Topics of discussion will assist landowners with timber sales, laws and regulations of timber management, how to improve stands and encourage regeneration, forestry in Kentucky, valuation, contracts and after harvest evaluation. Leaders will be Billy Thomas, UK Extension Forester; Laura Jackson, Kentucky Department of Forestry Service Forester; and Michael Ladd, KACF Consulting Forester.
There is no charge for the meeting and reservations can be placed by calling the Lyon County Cooperative Extension Service at 388-2341 by January 19.
