Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is a federally funded program with a trademark for quality. Conducted by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Exension Service, EFNEP pareprofessionals work with groups and individuals with children to select more nutrition diets and increase their ability to manage a food budget. EFNEP makes a difference in the lives of Kentucky families.

 

EFNEP provides nutrition education, cooking tips, recipes, and money-saving ideas. Hands-on activities include:

 

  • The new Pyramid is here! MyPyramid symbolizes a personalized approach to healthy eating and physical activity. The symbol has been designed to be simple. It was developed to remind consumers to make healthy food choices and to be active every day.
