Lee County Agricultural Development Council


Lee County has established a council to evaluate the needs of the local agriculture economy, 
devise a plan that would identify programs best suited to support the county's agriculture and 
assist local applicants in preparing proposals to be submitted to the State Board. 

Lee County Council Membership includes:

George Marshall
Charles Lynn Cooper

Conservation District nominees:
Thomas Lutes
Donald Lutes


Cooperative Extension Council nominees: 
Tom Reese
Ronnie Paul Begley


Young Farmers (selected by other six council members) 
Donnie Best
Sonya Johnson 


Board terms are two years.


The county Cooperative Extension Service is to provide administrative support. The county 
council will submit proposals to the State Board for approval. Meetings of the Lee County 
Agriculture Development Council will be open to the public and advertised when they are 
scheduled. Lee County has an estimated $132,597 for the fiscal years of 2001 and 2002.
