The Kitchen Located at the Farmers Market helps local farmers by:

Providing samples of fruits &  vegetables that can be locally grown and sold at the market

Providing recipes with nutritional analysis to encourage customers to use fresh local products

Attract new customers to market by offering creative & innovative programs and services oriented around the market and its purpose

We are dedicated to keeping people reminded of the vitality of our local market by offering classes in the Kitchen on a year round basis.

Offering Safety courses on preserving local products through canning, freezing, and drying fruits and vegetables

Promoting Kid friendly classes oriented on cooking healthy with products that are available locally

Inviting Food Specialists to lecture on fresh local product uses with expert demonstrations: meat specialists, Aquaculture specialists, and others

Encourage the community to submit family recipes to make a local  cookbook using main components from right here in laurel county

Test Canners, instruct and handout  publications on Kentucky fruits and vegetables
