A federally funded education program conducted by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service through EFNEP paraprofessionals.

WHAT WE DO

EFNEP assistants work with groups and individuals to select more nutritious diets and increase their ability to manage a food budget. EFNEP provides nutrition education, cooking tips, recipes, and money-saving ideas with hands-on activities including: Food Guide Pyramid, Meal Planning and Food Budgeting, Food Safety, Improving health and wellness through better nutritional choices.

WHO WE SERVE

Diverse populations, Young families, New mothers, Pregnant or parenting teens, Limited resource families, Youth and Adult groups in Laurel County.
