Master Gardeners

amgrologo

The Master Gardener Program was created by Extension to meet the enormous increase in requests from home gardeners for horticultural information.  In exchange for the training Master Gardeners receive, they are required to volunteer for the Extension Service in approved horticultural programming.

Next meeting date:  Please note that the next regular meeting date falls on a holiday, so it has been changed to Tuesday, May 29, at 6 PM.  We will start with a potluck dinner at 6 PM.  After dinner, we will review the participation data and vendor evaluations from this year's show and discuss changes for next year.  Please call our office and let us know if you plan to attend.

People viewing an insect collection

Thanks to Jim Truett for hosting the Insect ID table.  In addition to the mounted insects and butterflies, the University of Kentucky Entomology Department loaned us a live tarantula, black widow, brown recluse, and three Madagascar hissing cockroaches.  The table also featured a vermiculture (worm composting) display.
