| Held on UK campus for youth who have graduated from the 8th grade through age 19 of the program year. Program is designed to develop leadership & citizenship skills, inspire teens to remain in 4-H and acquaint them with our land-grant university. Planned & designed to satisfy a wide range of interests. Delegates choose from among several interest areas for tracks, college visits, tours, workshops, and issues seminars. Objectives accomplished through these plus speakers, group living, recreation, recognition programs, election of officers, & Fashion Revue. Tentative plans are to accept up to 650 total participants (Housing and banquet limitations cause this.)
OBJECTIVES 1. To further develop leadership and citizenship skills. 2. To further develop knowledge and skills in specific subjects. 3. To gain skills teens can use in club and county 4-H program. 4. To have fun, make new friends, and develop social skills. 5. To become acquainted with University and career opportunities. |
