The LaRue County Beef Cattle Association was formed in 1984 as an off-shoot of an earlier LaRue County Livestock Association. Meetings are held monthly, the second Tuesday, (except August) and provide information regarding production, herd health and reproduction, livestock management and marketing. A meal is served at each meeting, and a banquet served at the December meeting.

The association owns a cattle chute, scales, and livestock panels which are loaned free of charge to members for processing their cattle.
