EXPANDED FOODS AND NUTRITION

The goal of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is to education limited resource people with young children to acquire knowledge, improve skills and change behavior necessary to achieve health and well-being. It has effectively increased the families' ability to manage a limited food budget and select more nutritious diets.

Would you like to know more about planning meals? Stretching your food dollars? Low cost, nutritious recipes for your family? Eating better for better health? If so, then you may want to learn more about our Nutrition Education Program.  The NEP is a Free service of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service.
    Our Extension Assistant Janet Brown, is available to teach lessons to families with young children, pregnant or parenting teens, and senior citizens.
     Lessons cover topics such as the food guide pyramid, nutrients needed for health, food safety, feeding your children, gardening, food preparation, and budgeting your food dollars.
