The Kentucky Nutrition Education programs target limited resource families and individuals with nutrition education.  The goal is to educate limited resource families with young children to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, acquire safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior necessary to have a healthy lifestyle.

Would you like to know more about planning meals? Stretching your food dollars? Low cost, nutritious recipes for your family? Eating better for better health? If so, then you may want to learn more about our Nutrition Education Program.  The NEP is a Free service of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service.

Our Extension Assistant Janet Brown, is available to teach lessons to families with young children, pregnant or parenting teens, and senior citizens. Lessons cover topics such as the food guide pyramid, nutrients needed for health, food safety, feeding your children, gardening, food preparation, and budgeting your food dollars.
