Mary S. Averbeck has over 30 years experience in the youth development field. The last ten years Mary has been the Family and Consumer Sciences 4-H Youth Development Agent in Kenton County. Mary has two bachelor degrees from the University of Cincinnati; one in Early Childhood Education and the other in Family and Consumer Sciences. Mary received her Master's degree from Northern Kentucky University in Education. Mary's primary responsibilities in the 4-H program are Family and Consumer Science subjects such as clothing and textiles, food and nutrition, babysitting, and finances. In addition Mary coordinates science and engineering programs like robotics, energy and In-Touch Science. Mary is the county coordinator for the 4-H Spring Showcase and 4-H Summer Adventure programs.

On November 27, 2006, Denise became our third 4-H Agent for Kenton County after sending five years as a 4-H program Assistant.. Denise has a Bachelor of Science in Human Service with an emphasis in education. Her primary responsibilities in the Kenton County 4-H Program include the pre-teen and teen leadership, camp, Communication Event, Variety Show and other programs. In her new role, her experiences, talents and enthusiasm for youth development will continue to enrich the Kenton County 4-H Program.

Diane Kelley started on January 2, 2008, as our newest 4-H Agent . She is not new to 4-H, however! Diane has been a 4-H Agent in Scott County for 14 years, and 4 years prior, in Webster County. Her Bachelor of Science degree is in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky, and her MS is in vocational adult education, also from UK. Diane is not new to the Northern Kentucky area, having grown up in Grant County, she was a member of Boone Co. 4-H. Her primary responsibilities in the Kenton County 4-H Program encompass the animal science programs which include beef, dairy, goats, poultry, sheep, and swine, and horse. She will also work with the country ham project, Reality Store, environment and natural sciences programs.
