Dear 4-H Community,

Hello and welcome to the new year! I have been preparing for new club organization. In Johnson County, we are privileged to hold our school club meetings  in the classroom. In addition, we have 3 community clubs: 4-H Shooting Sports, the Horse Club, and Livestock club.  4-H is a community of youth learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H is a family oriented program and encourages adult support and involvement of 4-H members. There are 6 curriculum areas that you and your 4-Her can become involved with: Animal Science, Communications, Consumer Science, Health,  Leadership, and Natural Resources. 4-Hers can also learn Parliamentary Procedure, participate in officer elections, trainings, project completion, day camp and summer camp, the East Kentucky Fair, and the Kentucky State Fair.

The 4-H Motto: is “To make the Best Better.” Please join us in our efforts to teach our children to do that and more!  To volunteer with the 4-H program, please call Dianna Reed at 789-8108. A volunteer’s time can make a difference in a youth’s future!

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
