What Is 4-H?4-H is an educational youth development program open to all youth, ages 9-19, in Jefferson County. The goal of 4-H is to help youth gain skills, attitudes and experiences that will help them throughout their lives The four H's stand for Heart, Head, Hands and Health. Over 10,000 youth participate in 4-H annually. Nearly half of these youths are members of organized 4-H clubs. The others participate in special interest projects or programs such as American Private Enterprise Seminar, Service Learning, Workforce Preparation and after school programs at Family Resource Centers, etc. When your child joins a school club, a community club or a project club or group, they will:
