Battle for the Bluff 5K
This 5K race will begin at 9 a.m. in beautiful Columbus Belmont State Park and will be one of the more challenging courses in our area. The race will start at the shot of Civil War cannon and after a gentle climb out of the park the course will descend the bluff to the Mississippi River, an approximate 120 foot drop in elevation in just less than one-quarter mile, the course will then reverse itself and ascend the bluff promising a burn in both lungs and legs. The course will finish by returning into the park.
The Youth 1 mile Run will be held after the 5k has been completed and while the results are being tabulated. The course will consist of three laps around the parking area.
