Chick Incubation     Kindergarten through 6
This project is designed for a group of 4-H'ers to build an incubator and hatch chickens. Details for building the incubator are included and require adult supervision to complete. 4-H'ers will learn the importance of temperature, humidity, turning and ventilation to the hatching of eggs. A Styrofoam incubator may be reserved from the Extension Office instead of building your own; it it necessary to make reservations early for Extension Incubators due to their popularity.

The Incredible Journey From Hen to Home      Grades 4 through 6
Students will investigate real life problems gaining an understanding of basic skills of language arts, math, science, health, nutrition and consumer education while learning about the incredible edible egg. Many of the activities involve cross curricular topics to make the learning more fun.
