Getting Into A Food Mood    Grades 3 through 10
This guide will teach children about where their food comes from, how we view it, and how we are assuring that future populations will be fed. It integrates workplace competencies and foundation skills with food industry issues.

Eating Your Geography Lessons      Elementary but adaptable to older youth
This program will develop youth’s awareness of food plants, their diversity and the role that food producing plants have played in civilization, commerce, and exploration.

4-H Fun With Foods     Age 5-6 Year Olds
A collection of eight lessons that prepare a foundation of information for healthy food choices. Each lesson contains a clear outline of purpose, objectives, activities, resources and background information. Each lesson has a selection of fun activities.

Let's Begin Cooking:     Unit 1 , Grade 4
The 4-H'ers will learn fundamentals of food preparation including the four food groups, how to measure, the need for cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen - as well as some of the terms found in recipes. They will learn these things while actually planning and preparing fruit and milk drinks, nutritious snacks, kabobs and cookies.
     It's Time for Breakfast: Unit 2, Grade 5
     It's Time for Lunch: Unit 3, Grade 6
     It's Time for Dinner: Unit 4, Grade 7
     Outdoor Meals: Unit 5, Grade 8
     Teens Entertain: Unit 6, Grades 9-10
     Foods With An International Flavor: Unit 7, Grades 11-12

Breads - Unit 1: Cornmeal , Grade 4
Members will prepare and serve a variety of breads made with cornmeal. They also will learn the dietary importance of foods made with cornmeal, how to read product labels, and will develop skills in preparing, evaluating, serving and storing breads.
    Unit 2: Quick Batter, Grade 5
    Unit 3: Biscuits, Grade 6
    Unit 4: Quick Loaf Breads, Grade 7
    Unit 5: Yeast Rolls, Grade 8
    Unit 6: Yeast Breads, Grade 9
    Unit 7: Breads for Entertaining, Grades 10-12

5 A Day Adventures
A CD-ROM based program that uses vivid pictures and music to encourage youth to eat five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Contained on the CD-ROM is a vast amount of teacher support, including 21 cross curricular activities for math, social studies, science, and language arts. Students can study particular sections of interest or take the complete "5 A Day Supermarket Tour where they can hear the "5 A Day Top Tunes.”

Luv-An-Egg      Grade 4 and up
The Luv-An-Egg project provides members with a better understanding of the value and properties of eggs, helps them identify steps in egg production, provides information on egg grades and sizes, provides nutritional facts about eggs and helps members learn correct storage and cooking principles. It also helps them prepare creative recipes which can be presented at the egg demonstration contests on a county, area and state basis (national level for senior 4-H'ers).

Milk - Unit I      Grade 4
4-H'ers learn about the importance of milk to good health, where milk comes from and the use and storage of milk. Different types of milk are discussed. 4-H'ers make several recipes using milk. Shopping techniques are developed by a comparison shopping activity. Any 4-H'er can do this project.
     Ice Cream - Unit II, Grade 5
     Cheese - Unit III, Grade 6
     Cultured Dairy Products - Unit IV, Grade Jr. High
     Dairy Foods for Seniors - Unit V, Grade Sr. High
