Fresh Water-Shrimp will be produced
in 38 ponds by 18 Farm Families.

The grow-out period will be June through September.

Kentucky State University Research Specialists
made a visit to Raymer Shrimp Farms to check
on pond perimeters.  Aquaculture Specialist,
Robert M. Durborow, Ph.D., and Aquaculture
Program Coordinator, James Tidwell, Ph.D.,
were both on hand to meet with local shrimp producers,
answer questions, and make recommendations.

The Raymer's are use an ARGO to feed the crawfish, distribute
fertilizer and for use with other Aquaculture management practices.
The ARGO is a 6-wheel amphibious vehicle that can be driven
on land or in the water.
