GET IT OFF GRAYSON COUNTY

Get It Off Grayson County is a weight loss competition that is designed to help individuals lead healthier lifestyles and make better nutritional choices. Each session will include a 30 minute educational program and either a 30 minute food demonstration or 30 minutes of physical activity (provided by a trained professional). Classes will start on May 22 and will be each Tuesday following, until July 31. Registration Packets can be found at www.graysonext.org or you may pick one up at the Extension Office. You may register as an individual or you may put together a team of 2 to 6 people to participate, no more than 6 people to a team. Participants are required to pay a $10 one-time fee for the program. For additional information please contact Natalie Taul, FCS Extension Agent at 270-259-3492. Forms and payment must be returned to the Extension Office by May 22nd (first session). All sessions will meet at the Grayson County Extension Office from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. All money goes into a pool. Whoever loses the largest percentage of body weight at the end of the series wins the MONEY! Participants must attend at least 7 sessions including the initial and final weigh-in to be eligible for the “grand” prize money.

Dates Set for Adult Beginner Sewing Classes
Registration is still open for the Beginner Sewing Classes for Adults. Classes are for people that own a sewing machine & want to learn how to use it. You must bring your machine book with you to the class. A limited number of machines are available for those that don't own a machine, but want to learn to sew. Meeting dates are 4/28, 6/9, 6/23, 7/14 & 7/28 (group will not meet in May). All classes will meet at the Grayson County Extension Office from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Advanced registration & payment of the $5.00 fee is required. Park & enter in the back of the building.
