The Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program is a free service of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service & it is available to famillies with young children & pregnant or parenting teens.

EFNEP teaches people how to:

  • achieve & maintain good health
  • eat 5+ fruits & vegetables per day
  • choose food low in fat & high in fiber
  • increase physical activity
  • avoid running out of food
  • prepare & store food safely
  • make healthy food choices on a limited budget.

The University of Kentucky Nutrition Education Program is federally funded & conducted by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Program.
