COVERED BRIDGES
Built in the 1820s and reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic following a 2005-2006 renovation, Goddard White Covered Bridge is one of only 13 covered bridges remaining standing in Kentucky.  Fleming County is dubbed the "Covered Bridge Capitol of Kentucky."  Fleming County has the distinction of being the home of three of those bridges.  This year, pedestrians cannot walk on the Grange City Covered Bridge.  The recent rains and flooding have deteriorated the condition of the bridge.  The Tourism committee have decided it would be safer for the public not to be on the bridge this year.  The Grange City Covered Bridge is an 86-foot span over Fox Creek.  Ringo's Mill Covered Bridge, also over Fox Creek on Kentucky 158, is closed to vehicle traffic.  For more information about our Covered Bridges, contact the Fleming County Chamber office at 606-845-1223.
Maps of locations for the landmark bridges are available.
