Program & Staff Assistants Salary Adjustments
· No salary adjustment for any UK employee in July
· Includes all departments, schools, etc.
· Equity issues with county staff being reviewed
· Seeking possible adjustment in January09
· No bonuses allowed
· No revision of Memorandums at this time
County Budgets
· Memorandums were due on May 1
· Keep salary adjustments in case a mid year adjustment
· Unused funds will be returned to counties
· Be accountable for funds in tight budget year
· Floating 26 vacancies
· $760,000 deficit
· Owen 4H will be filled on August 18
· Boone 4H Posted
· Counties are given the option of filling vacant positions at:
· 2/3 of agent salary contribution
· 100% of salary for the position (no benefits)
· Remain on vacancy list until normal rotation of filling position
· Will revert back to original level of funding
· Anticipated that base agent contribution will increase in Fy10
· 4th & up vacancies with 100% county funds will be filled regardless of length of vacancy
UK Annual Leave Policy Change (effective July 1 08)
· No change this year. Old leave must be used by September 30, 08 (accumulated since 07)
· Leave accrued now by June 30 09 (9 months)
· 12 months thereafter by June 30
· Will save 15 million $ by shorten time by 3 months

Summer Leave without Pay
· Geared toward UK academic departments with less to do in summer
· Not appropriate for Extension Offices
· Efnep on grant money will not be approved
· Benefits reduced (retirement, vacation, etc.)
· Must be approved by supervising agents, DD, Jimmy
Agents Being Evaluated
· All report by July 15
· DD conference/ portfolios (2) in August
· Sandy will set schedule
· NRs get a conference time
General Office procedures
· I-9 form has changed ck UK forms
· Extension Manual revised as web based manual
· Individual Study Plan Approval
· UK/WKU joint Masters Program in Adult Ed.
· Must Report Returning from FML
· In-service Training Opportunities posted June 1
· No Regional Conference in 09
· All Agents Should Report NEP Hours Important!!
· Rate of Reimbursement for Personal Vehicle Mileage
