Get Your Hay Tested NowWe have had a good hay season up to now. Yields are up considerably over last year and quality is good. But first how good is your hay? Better than snow balls? Sure it is. But it is always good to know exactly the feed value of each cutting. The feed value can vary greatly from field to field and with each cutting. By knowing the feed value, you can better plan what you feed and when. Stockers and replacement heifers need better quality hay than dry cows. Pregnant cows in the last trimester need better hay than cows in their first trimester. Take the guess work out of it and get your hay tested. If you would like to get your hay tested , give me a call at 606-738-6440 and schedule a time for me to come take the sample.
