4-H Youth Development
What is 4-H ?
4-H is the Youth Development component of Cooperative Extension. CE extends the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture andKentucky State University to citizens throughout the commonwealth. 4-H strives to meet the four developmental needs which we all haveāneed for belonging, mastery of skills, independence, and generosity. 4-H teaches youth the basic skills they will need to succeed as adults. Youth are involved through individual self-study projects at home, organized clubs in communities and schools, special interest groups, camp, television, after-school child care programs, or as part of the school curriculum.

Remember to save your aluminum cans for 4-H. 4-H is collecting cans to raise money for our 4-H programs. The money raise from the cans will help pay for things like camp, rally day and 4-H projects. Cans can be dropped off at the Edmonson County Extension Office (behind the Health Department) on Highway 70. Please call us at 597-3628 for any information about 4-H or any questions you might have.
