HORTICULTURE

We have an active horticulture program in Crittenden County. We offer educational opportunities and assistance in several topics. Included are: soil testing, lawns, home gardening, commercial vegetable production, fruit production, composting, and many others. Also, many of our news releases to the Crittenden Press feature horticultural topics. Programming in horticulture involves all of the agents. In addition to the County Extension Agent for Agriculture & Natural Resources, agents for 4-H/Youth Development and Family & Consumer Sciences are involved in programs such as Windowsill Gardening, project books, Horticulture Home Notes, and more.
