The goal of the
Family & Consumer Sciences Program is to improve the quality of
life for individuals and families. We address the challenges of critical issues affecting people's daily lives in a changing environment.
Programs focus on economic, social and physical well-being of our clients. We strengthen personal and family relationships, encourage healthful choices, and identify resources to extend income.

Craft Guild is a group interested in making
various craft projects on a monthly basis.
They meet the 4th Monday of each month at
6:30 PM
at the Extension Office Meeting Room.

organized for those who love quilts.
Each monthly meeting learn a new technique, pattern or project.
Quilt Guild meets the 3rd Thursday at
8:30 AM

OVARIAN CANCER SCREENING
Ovarian cancer
kills more women than all other gynecologic cancers put together in the
United States. Women at highest risk to
develop ovarian caner are over the age of 50 or have a relative with
ovarian cancer. Early
ovarian cancer produces no symptoms so the disease is often advanced by
the time it is diagnosed. Any
women 50 and over with one or two ovaries may participate in the free
cancer screening procedure at

toll free, 1-800-766-8279. Screenings are also available at the
Pulaski County Health Department in Somerset. Screening are free!
