4-H & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT The mission of the Carlisle County 4-H program is to assist youth in becoming self-directed, productive and contributing members of society. We emphasize "hands-on" learning experiences that are centered around the 4-H member's areas of interest, home and family. We accomplish this goal with the help of parents, adult and teen volunteers and professional staff who organize educational experiences. Youth may participate in 4-H through organized 4-H clubs, project groups, school enrichment programs that are conducted in school classrooms or they may attend 4-H Camp in the summer.
