Meet the Agent
Hi! My name in Jeff Young, I’m the 4-H Youth Development Agent for Bullitt County. Let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up on a farm in Hardin County, Kentucky. We were a small diverse operation with tobacco, beef cattle, hay and row crops. After high school I attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics. I have my Masters Degree and am working on my Doctoral Degree from the University of Louisville.
I’m really glad you have taken to time to visit our website. There are approximately 2700 youth involved in some way with 4-H in Bullitt County. We have 4-H groups focusing on: Teen Programs, Shooting Sports, Horses, Rabbits, Goats, Sewing, 4-H Camping, Home Schools, and Scrap booking. The possibilities are limited only by the interests of our 4-H Volunteers and youth.
Needless to say I rely extensively on the hard work of our 4-H Volunteer Leaders. 4-H Leaders serve not only as leaders of 4-H Clubs, but also as judges, room hosts, coaches, council members and much more. Volunteers are essential to Kentucky’s 4-H Program.
If you are interested in served as a 4-H Volunteer or just want information for you children please call me at 502-543-2257 or email at
.
