Piecekeepers Quilt Club
Breathitt County Piecekeepers Quilt Club
Members of the Piecekeepers Quilt Club meet the third Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m. in the sewing lab at the Breathitt County Extension Office, located at 1155 Main Street in Jackson.
Our club is open to anyone with an interest in the craft of quilting and the preservation of quilts. All experience levels are welcome to join.
Our gatherings are informal. You may bring a current project of your own to work on while visiting and getting encouragement from fellow Piecekeepers. There are sewing machines furnished by the Extension Office for our use or you may bring your own machine.
If you are a beginner, or just need fresh ideas, we have various projects to get you started.
Occasionally we will have guest instructors to teach us new techniques.
Members take part in Quilters Day Out with other quilters in the area and take day trips to quilt stores and quilt exhibits within a few hours drive.
For additional information, call the Extension Office at 606-666-8812.

You can bring your own project, purchase one of our sew and go kits, or sip a cup of coffee or tea as you look through our sewing library for ideas for your next project. This is even a great time to bring your mending pile and sew on those buttons or fix a hem as you visit with others who enjoy sewing. Invite a friend!
