Country Ham

This year Breathitt County 4-H is offering the 4-H Country Ham Project for the first time.  Registration is now closed.  However, contact the agent today to get signed up for next year.

Good News!

The Breathitt County 4-H Program has recieved a grant to build it's own Ham House.   Next year we'll have our very own house to hang our hams and will not have to travel to Fayette or Clark Counties to participate in this program.  Hopefully this will allow more participants next year and for years to come.

2008-09 4-H Country Ham Rules

2009 Country Hams have been Salted and are now hanging in a ham curing house in Winchester.  Students will be going to Winchester in May to clean the hams and resock  them.
