| Since the first program was piloted in 2000,
Master Cattleman has been educating beef producers in Kentucky. As of
2007, there are over 2500 graduates and the program has reached 115 of the
120 counties in Kentucky. Participants use the Kentucky Beef Book (ID-108) as their main resource. It was updated in 2005 specifically to enhance the Master Cattleman curriculum. |
The program consists of ten 4-hour sessions on
aspects of beef production. The objective is to enhance the
profitability of Kentucky's beef operations and the quality of our beef
cattle.
There is a cost for this program to cover meals and supplies. Please contact your local county extension office to find out about the availability of a Master Cattleman program in your area. |
