This barn quilt is an exact replica of Debbie Stamper's grandmother's (Lula Mae Puckett)
quilt top made prior to her death in 1982. The pattern is a variation of the Shoo Fly and
Ohio Star which consists of a nine-patch block made with one plain square and four quarter-
square triangle units and four half-square triangle units. The colors used are daffodil yellow and
bright turquoise. It has been placed on the side of the dairy barn where she milked for years
at 1230 Ballard Road in Lawrenceburg.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
