EFNEP

The Kentucky Nutrition Education programs target limited resource families and individuals with nutrition education. The goal is to educate limited resource families with young children to plan nutritious meals on a limited budget, acquire safe food handling practices, improve food preparation skills and change behavior necessary to have a healthy lifestyle.
The Supplmental Nutrition Education Program (SNAP-Ed) is federally funded and conducted by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education, cooking tips, recipes, and money-saving ideas to limited resource families. The Nutrition Education Program consists of hte following lessons:

- Steps to a Healthier You
- Plan for Food Spending
- Label Power
- Breakfast Makes a Difference
- Food Safety
