From:   Doug Wilson and Darian Irvan,

Re:       Kentucky Beef Conference & Kentucky Grazing Conference

Attention, we are making plans to take several Purchase Area farmers to the Kentucky Beef Conference on October 27th at the Fayette County Cooperative Extension Service located between Broadway and Versailles Road at 1140 Red Mile Place, Lexington.  If we have enough interested farmers, PACA will provide free transportation and cover your ($10) registration fee if you pre-register by October 16th.  All other expenses, meals and lodging, will be on your own.  No guarantees if you register after October 16th.  Those not registering may have to drive their own vehicles and cover their own registration plus meals and lodging.

If you are interested in knowing the marketing trends in the beef industry, discussing livestock risk protection, and hearing a presentation from Randy Blach, executive vice president of Cattle-FAX and CF Resources, Inc. then you should pre-register at your local extension office.  See the enclosed brochure for more information about the conference.

We will gather at the McCracken County Extension Office and take a 15 passenger van at 2 PM on October 26th.  We will have supper in Lexington.  Breakfast will be continental at the hotel.  All rooms will be double occupancy so budget approximately $50.  Lunch is included with the registration which begins at 9 AM on October 27th.  We should be home by or before 7 PM so you can have supper with your family.

 The itinerary follows:

2 PM (CST)                  Leave McCracken County Extension Office, Paducah, KY

6 PM. (CST)                Stop in Lexington for Supper – on your own; proceed to hotel

9:00 a.m (EDT)            Meeting begins (see enclosed flyer)

                                                            PLEASE  REGISTER BY OCTOBER 16!

Please register to guarantee transportation!  Registration deadline is noon on Friday, October 16th
