    Master Food Volunteer Classes

    Apron announcing Master Food Volunteer ClassesThe University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service in the Pennyrile Area is sponsoring Master Food Volunteer Classes* on Fridays from February 23 thru April 27, 2007. Volunteers will spend approximately 40 hours in intensive training enhancing their knowledge of cooking skills, food preparation, food science, food safety and food preservation. Classes will rotate between Extension Offices in Madisonville, Hopkinsville, and Princeton.

    To become a Certified Master Volunteer, individuals must "give back" volunteer time to their communities. Volunteers often work with their church groups, homemaker organization, youth programs such as 4-H, or by helping seniors. Applications are available at the Lyon County Extension Office.

    Register now to reserve your spot. The cost is $75 per person. Deadline to register is
    January 26, 2007.
