Family & Consumer Sciences
The goal of the Lyon County Extension Family & Consumer Sciences Program is to improve the quality of life of individuals and families through research-based education. Programs focus on a wide variety of topics including foods and nutrition, resource management and health issues in addition to community and economic development. Leadership development is incorporated throughout the Family & Consumer Sciences Program to enhance the leadership base and increase volunteerism in the community.
