♦Ronnie and Gloria Bowling, HWY 421, Oneida, KY,  The Old Squire Baker Farm; In honor of Ronnie’s mother, Carrie Fields Bowling, “Carnival Pinwheel”.

 

♦In Oneida, across from Town Market, 2 quilts created in memory of Anne Brown and Hattie Hacker (sister quilters).  Carol Brown Gay and Reuben Hacker drew the patterns on the board, but this was a family project that included the grandchildren and great grandchildren.  847-4358

 

♦Mary Rose and Oscar Burns, HWY 421, toward Oneida in the area of Mill Pond, 3102 North HWY 11, Manchester. She is a quilter and she chose her favorite pattern “The LeMoyne Star”.  This quilt is placed on the still functional “Oscar Burns Grist Mill”.  847-4345

 

♦Joan Brigmon and daughter Jan Hoskins created “The Flying Sparrow” which is placed on Darrell and Jan’s barn in Fogertown.

 

♦Betty and Neville Smith, Fogertown, KY, has “The Drunkard’s Path” placed on their barn next to their house.

 

♦Juanita (Cookie) and Darrell McKeehan  , Fogertown, KY has “The Double Wedding Ring” placed on their barn next to their house.

 

♦Fred Haggard, Executive Director of Red Bird Mission, Inc., 70 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913 (606) 598-3155, fhaggard@rbmission.org.  “The Pin Wheel Quilt” is located on the Red Bird Mission School, 15420 S HWY 66, Beverly, KY 40913.  The quilt was a community project.  The design was chosen by participants of the quilting group at the DeWall Senior Center.  It was painted by the students at Red Bird Mission School, through the Art Department.  The frame was constructed by The Red Bird Mission School by the Red Bird Mission Work Camp.

 

♦Deann and James Allen, 786 Charlie Sizemore Road, Manchester, KY 40962 (606) 598-3480.  Primrose Quilt.  They have the actual quilt.  It is a war quilt created by James’ great, great, great grandmother Mary Polly Baker.  The name of the quilt is “Rose of Sharon”  I have written information on this in a file.

 

♦Sharp’s Grocery, 847-9510 or 847-9435 has 2 quilt patterns, one on the barn and the other on the store on Route 11 towards Oneida, about 13 miles from Junction HWY 421-11.  “Wedding Ring” is the name of one pattern.

 

♦Lois Spurlock on HWY 66 between Oneida and Big Creek.  The quilt is located on her barn across from her home.
